Mold Remediation

Mold contamination is a serious health risk and immediate removal is very important. After a mold inspection has been conducted, and it is found that the area contains a high mold count level, the area may need the remediation process.

Safety Tips while Investigating Mold Growth

  • Don’t touch mold with bare hands
  • Don’t breathe in mold spores
  • Wear protective goggles to protect eyes from mold spores
  • Wear protective gloves to protect your hands
  • Wear a mask or respirator to protect your lungs
  • Wear a protective suit to protect your skin

Asbestos Abatement

Asbestos is a naturally occurring very durable fibrous material. It was used widely in building materials between 1920 and 1989 due to its insulation and fireproofing properties. Asbestos was used in the manufacture of roofing, siding, walls, ceilings, floors, pipes, and boilers.

Unfortunately, these very qualities also make asbestos a serious health risk if asbestos fibers are loose and airborne, as the fibers can lead to scarring of the tissue lining the lungs (mesothelioma) and even lung cancer.
Only a licensed and certified contractor should handle and remove asbestos from a building. Green Source Homes, Inc. is licensed by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division to remove and encapsulate friable asbestos containing material.

Our work force is fully certified and trained by EPA and OSHA accredited training providers. Green Source Homes, Inc. also has an in-house certified asbestos supervisor who oversees every aspect of job site risk management, from planning to final asbestos disposal. Our team is fully equipped to ensure safety during every step of the asbestos removal process.
